Traditionally, torrone was a hard nougat candy until Sorelle Nurzia changed that nearly two centuries ago by introducing soft torrone.  Sorelle Nurzia is an Italian confectionery company based in Sulmona (a town near L'Aquila) in the Abruzzo region, known especially for its special "torrone".  The packaging stays true to an old fashion aesthetic of Romanticism art, creating a feeling like you just stepped back in time.
